He's not a boy but an 'it'

Friday, August 29, 2008 @ 10:11 PM

Gonna use a child called 'it' for our term paper. Men. It was disturbing.

The story's about the ill-fated Dave Pelzer and his' struggles to escape from his stupor and abusive mother. At first he describes his family as the "Brady Bunch". A family who loves to be merry and spend time with each other. He even described his mom as the giver of happiness in their abode. But soon, his carefree life turned into a living hell. Home has lost it's very essence. That is to be loved and cared for. Each day, his mom became more alcoholic.

Being the most loud among the Pelzers, Catherine, the mother, took David as her bait. She brainwashed his innocent mind that made him think that he really is a "bad boy". For three years he'd been wearing the same unwashed clothes, a result of her alcohol invaded mind. When he has the "priveledge" to eat, all he eat are leftovers that even dogs wouldn't eat. Catherine sometimes locked him in their bathroom with a pail of ammonia and clorox which makes an odius atmosphere.

School has lost it's importance to David. He keeps on reciting lies to their school nurse; telling her that he bumped on their post. His story seems to be unbelievable that's why the nurse reported his condition to the principal. The principal contacted the police. The police took him to San Mateo Juvenile Department and told him that he'll never return to his "home". He's finally free.

I admit I cried while reading this. Catherine and Stephen, the father, are already dead. I'm hoping their in hell now. A place when happiness and love is no longer present. A place where wrath and evil reign.

It's hard to believe that this happen; that David story is a reality and not just fiction. Child abuse must be put to a stop. Parents must nourish them, not treat them like slaves.

A Child called 'it' made me more aware of what's really happening. Long live Dave Pelzer. May he continue to inspire and educate people of what really love is.

Brotherless day

@ 1:22 AM

Yes. I'm ecstatic. Brother's not here and so that means *ting* freedom. I got the computer and the television all by myself until tomorrow. Whoopee!

In case your wondering where that asshole is. Well, he's attending a retreat sponsored by his school somewhere in Makati. Haha. This is his first to do something like this. Men. He needs an ATTITUDE MAKE-OVER. I hope he'll learn something. Maybe he'll be an angel when he gets back. I hope.

Emo mode

Tuesday, August 26, 2008 @ 7:09 AM

just so I can post something. HAHA.

Almost Lover - A Fine Frenzy

Your fingertips across my skin
The palm trees swaying in the wind
Images
You sang me Spanish lullabies
The sweetest sadness in your eyes
Clever trick

Well, I never want to see you unhappy
I thought you'd want the same for me

[Chorus]
Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
Should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do

We walked along a crowded street
You took my hand and danced with me
Images
And when you left, you kissed my lips
You told me you would never, never forget
These images

Did I make it that
Easy to walk right in and out
Of my life?

A little something for someone.

Kady's back

Sunday, August 24, 2008 @ 7:12 AM

Ohohoho! Today is emo day. hahaha. Went to FE at ADMU. Saw this "guy" whom I liked before. After a few months, he got emo-ish. He had bangs now and he's darker. Well it really grossed me out when I saw him looking like that. He looked so happily depressed (ok that's weird. Just try to imagine a happy emo. LABO!). And then theirs this time when I got so pissed to him and never talked to him.

But now, in a weird way, he just looks HOTTER. :)) I thought that his emo get-up is really ugly. Just the thought of it makes me wanna gag. Oh God. If you saw him earlier, his smile is...AHH! IT'S KILLING ME! And he's finally talking to me now! Yey! Just so you know, we had this conversation before that ended up in an akward way. Don't wanna spill the details, though. It past, ok?

So, just wanna say to you guys that KADY is back! HAHAHA. Oh, i still like "how do i love thee". It's just that I miss the days when I'm head over heels to "guy".

Are you positively sure?

Saturday, August 23, 2008 @ 5:40 AM

HAHAHAHA. This made me laugh. Oh boy.

Is he into you?

He Is So Into You!
Come on, why was there any question in your mind?
If he hasn't asked you out yet, he will!
All signs point to strong flirtation -
And that's always a good thing.

Simply the best

Friday, August 22, 2008 @ 4:53 AM

Noli El Fili Dekada 2000 is one of the best plays I've ever watched. Seriously. The actors are great especially Basillo Pilapil. His hotness and undeniably great talent really creeps me out. They even have Bembol Roco and Robert Sena. I even have their autographs. Yey! Now that's what you call great. Oh and the girl characters are really pretty. Well, exclude Salome. Haha. Gayness is also seen in the play. The actor's really funny.

Enough with the charater talk. The play was adapted to Jose Rizal's great novels (Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo). Although the said novels were about the brutality the Filipinos experienced during the Spanish era, the play reflects the current issues that our country's facing but, it's still related to the novels. The scenes their are hard to believe but, it's really happening. The corruption, men degrading women, greed, and all kinds of evil a man can think of.

I've heard that many schools watched that play. I hope that the students and teachers learned something from it. There is still hope people. May Noli El Fili Dekada 2000 serve as a wake up call to those who are still sleeping.

Ain't wanna feel pressure

Thursday, August 21, 2008 @ 5:46 AM

Back when I was in second year, my bus mate, a junior then, told me that junior year is very very challenging. A lot of teachers love giving works and most of the time they pile up. Thus, their sleepless nights.

True enough. Third year is very hard. Our teachers gives homework like there's no tomorrow. I have also experienced staying up late. Thanks for caffeine who never fails to keep me alive.

Earlier, during our soc sci period, my teacher asks us if our parents are pressuring us. I'm lucky my parents are not like the ones who loves comparing their own child to others. But, it seems that pressure is my lolo's best friend (read my previous post, "How To Keep On The Right Track"). I don't have the guts to share my utterly painful experiences with him. I really know that I would cry if I did. Haha.

When I logged in in Ym, I chatted with my friend, reg for a while. Coincidentally, she told about her father's pressuring ways. (Wow. This day is all about pressure). As her friend, I tried my best to cheer her up (like HELLO! that's the very purpose of having friends).

This got me thinking. Why are parents like that? I know deep inside that all they want is the best for us but, sometimes, they're really beyond what is right. Thank God for giving me such parents who appreciate my achievements no matter how little and insignificant they are.

Am I suppose to be happy?

Wednesday, August 20, 2008 @ 4:29 AM

today's a wednesday. there's a suspension of classes due to typhoon Karen. my bus mates and i walked from stc to lourdes. take note people : it's storming during that time. it's really stupid if you ask me. my "other" bus mate decided that we walk from school to lourdes. ISN'T SHE STUPID?! well, we don't have a choice. she texted the owner of the service and she agreed. again. WHAT THE FUCK?! that's really bullshit, men. AGH. when we arrived there, there's no one inside the bus. all of them are in the high school building. again. SHIT.

but thank God for my friend, Patricia. she brought her camera. that made me happy! :)) forgive me. i'm very very VERY vain. :|

now, i feel sick. STUPID BUS MATE. no wonder everybody hates her. she's just isn't fair and very bossy! DAMN YOU!

so tell me, am i suppose to be happy?

Missing the gimmick days

Tuesday, August 19, 2008 @ 4:36 AM

Time check: 7:42 pm.

Haven't finish my geom homework. Tsk. I'm gonna finish it later. I promise!

Earlier, I chatted with my friend reg about our next gimmick. All of us have been pretty busy that's why it's really hard to plan. I blame you schoolwork! *sigh*

I miss my summer days. The days when all I think of is my friends and nothing else. The days when my friends and I hung out. Videoke. Watched the Bloomfields. Watched a movie. Just get sane and be merry. Those were the days.

PALS! I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH! :-*

I abhor school work. What's the point of having a 4-day-weekend when I have Noli, monologue, term paper and home works to worry about?! You know what they say. NO PAIN NO GAIN. But really. Can you give us a break? That's all I ask.

@ 5:14 AM

Today marks the 25th anniversary of Ninoy Aquino which means a holiday for all of us. No classes. Wee! So went to Trinoma mall with my family. Saw a very hip exhibit by Sketchers and Mark Ecko. Look what I found! *points to the left picture* A Red Phranz-Phlourish Sneaker from Mark Ecko. Gah. I so want! The sight of those beautiful shoes makes me a spoiled girl who continues to babble to her mom about what she wants. So yah. I was really sales talking my mom about it and all she did was nod. What the fuck?! Agh. So when we got home, I browed the internet about it's price (in the US). They sell it at $70. I have relatives who live there. Maybe I'm going to tell them to buy it for me. HAHA. But, my mom will know about it. There's a big chance that she'll get mad at me because according to her it's "nakakahiya". Tsk. I'm going to pay them, mom. Don't worry. *sigh*

Vices lead to self destruction

Friday, August 15, 2008 @ 8:37 AM

Today marks the third Friday of the month. Thus, another PALS assembly. Every meeting one of us is tasked to make a "talk" regarding the current issues that teenage today is facing. My friend Tin is assigned today. Vices is her topic. She focused on DRINKING (for those who are sarcastic, i'm referring to alcoholic drinks) and SMOKING. Most of us admitted that we drink (me included) . Some in moderation while some (i think) are careless.

Why does addictions like this are bad? Well. I have an answer to that. Our body is the TEMPLE OF GOD. Our soul is what lies within us. So, what does this imply? Knowing the fact that we, indeed, are a part of God's creation, have the responsibility to take care of ourselves. If we continue to be naive and to still engage in such addictions will lead us in jeopardy. Not only in ourselves but also to the people who loves us like our family and friends. Keep in mind that whenever we hurt ourselves or the people we love, God also feels that pain.

I drink though I still keep in mind my responsibilities. I'll do my best to never be drunk (again).

(I know that the person reading this post is probably thinking that I'm such a psycho. Forgive me. I learned a lot during that talk. Just want to share it with you guys and hopefully you'll learn something.)

Meet Helvitica

@ 2:02 AM

What font are you?

You Are Helvetica
Your life is ultra modern and ultra streamlined.
You don't get bogged down in details or decoration.

You like to think that you're the epitome of style and taste.
People either totally get you - or they think you're boring and generic.

Paramita : people aiming for perfection

Wednesday, August 13, 2008 @ 5:09 AM

Move on. I need to move on. Nothing's gonna happen if i continue to regret my previous full of stupidity acts. Besides, I have a lot to think about. Important thing to work on and more significant stuff to ponder. Damn Regret. I'm trying to forget and I NEED to forget.

This day was a blast. I'm in-charge of playing the head-bopping music of the band Paramita because my friend jay's the dj (wow that rhymes). In case your wondering Paramita means perfection. This word is oftenly used in Bhuddism. Now the band Paramita is one of the most sought-after bands in the Philippines. What makes them unique is their drummer, Ria Bautista, who also plays as the band vocalist. I think that's a first in Philippine history. Some of their best hits are Tala, Hiling and my current LSS Panaginip Lang. ;)

Paramita = perfection. I'll always keep that in mind.

Apologizing for my imperfections

Tuesday, August 12, 2008 @ 2:53 AM

i'm sorry i can't be perfect. damn. what a day. just received my geom results and boy they are BAD. i failed the exam. well, in my perspective. the passing score's 62 and my freakin' score is 62.5. oh sweet! agh. so now, i'm REGRETTING everything. i shouldn't have took my exams for granted. so now, i like to send my apologies to my parents. they've been supportive in my endeavors. what i did is unforgivable. still. sorry mom. sorry dad. i promise to improve this quarter. sorry that you have a child like me who's so foolish and very irresponsible. having the experience to actually fail makes me feel that i'm useless. i feel that my dreams to enter a prestigious school in college (which is UP) has been crashed because of my stubbornness. if only i can take back time...i'll take that test again.

Low and unacceptable

Monday, August 11, 2008 @ 4:37 AM

two words to describe my exam results. tsk. so we just received socsci, religion and chem :| piss! damn. i admit i'm quit confident that i'm going to get a high grade (well that's what i do every exam). moral of the story : don't overlook obstacles. a happy-go-lucky attitude will not help me get through.

that's all i want to say. i'm not in a chatty mood right now.

Sabaw days are over

Saturday, August 9, 2008 @ 4:36 AM

Stand and rejoice Theresians! Examinations are done. Yey!

First thing in the morning's our Chem exam. Forgot how to compute for diameter...AGAIN. dammit. Oh well. Next is English. Chicken! Haha. Just kidding.

After the exam, my bus mate Abby treated us at Mcdo. An after-exam party. Wooot. :))

Got home with my best friend, jay. Just hang out and waited for *insert lip gloss song here*. Haha.

Downloaded some cool fonts. Ate Doritos. Sound trip. Urbandub's new vid's out already! We saw it on myx.

My patience was tested today. Argh! So, I'm watching the amazing race and jay's checking my phone.

Jay: *played lip gloss song*
Kaye: *shocked...and excited =))* HOY!
Jay: *shows my phone with NO call*

*both laughed hard*

Gad. Am I that excited?!

So after that hilarious incidence we went to KFC because jay's grandma will fetch her there.

Phew! What a fun day! Imma read eclipse (sorry loser.) and finish OTH season 5. Oh how i miss MY LUCAS SCOTT. =))))))

Blogthings time!

What flavor of Popsicle are you?

You Are a Cherry Flavored Popsicle

You are sweet and friendly. (true. haha.)

For you, summer is all about doing your favorite things. (ah. freedom)

You are a nostalgic person. You love old fashioned things like ice cream trucks. (yeah. i reminisce when i'm bored. :)) )

You savor everything. Every taste of summer, the feeling of the sun, the smell of the beach...
Of all the types, you love summer the most. (yeah baby!)

Heaven knows i tried

Thursday, August 7, 2008 @ 1:30 AM

Forget about me by little bit = major LSS. agh. so just finished reviewing for filipino. imma review for geom later.

Are you a skeptic?

You Are 65% Skeptic

While you aren't always skeptical, you generally approach life from a skeptical viewpoint.
You're open to any outlandish claim, but you need proof before you'll believe it.

That being said, you're occasionally willing to go out on a limb and put your faith in idea.
There's a few beliefs you hold because you hope they're true - not because they've been established as true.

Present, now, today

Tuesday, August 5, 2008 @ 5:06 AM

exams tomorrow! oh sweet joy! hahaha. just finished reviewing algebra and research. *sigh* SO HELP ME GOD.

Blog things time!

Do you live in the past, present or future?

You Live in the Present

You take things one day at a time. (true.)

And it turns out, that's a pretty great way to live. (i agree.)

You aren't consumed by the past, and you're aren't obsessed with the future. (wrong! i'm obsessed with the future. *pictures myself as a billionare* hahaha.)

You live in the now, and you enjoy each moment. (oh yes! thank you sun! thank you for always making my day bright.)

While most people don't live in the present enough, make sure you don't live in it too much. (yeah)

It would be a mistake to forget your past or neglect to plan for the future.
(uh-huh.)

Focusing on the beauty of sight

Monday, August 4, 2008 @ 4:44 AM

WHICH OF THE FIVE SENSES ARE YOU?

You are the Sense of Sight

You are a very observant, detail oriented person. (hmmm....i beg to disagree.)

You are able to take in a lot of information at once. (sometimes. if i REALLY LISTEN)

You often see things that other people never notice. (dunno.)

You have a good eye for design and aesthetics. (yes but, that doesn't mean i'm artistic. i love watching fashion shows and i know when a design is good or not but, i don't know how to draw. haha.)

You love to be surrounded by beauty - natural or not. (true. discos and beaches are some of my sanctuaries. lol)

When you imagine how something should look, you see it clearly in your mind.
(true.)

i know how when to spend and save

Sunday, August 3, 2008 @ 3:19 AM

got hooked to blogthings. haha.

Your Money Personality is Healthy

You have a good relationship with money. (as a matter of fact, money's my husband)

You don't spend wildly, but you're not opposed to treating yourself on occasion. (true)

In general, you save some of what you earn. (more on what i receive, actually. i'm still not working.)

You know the importance of a nest egg. (nest egg?!)

You aren't afraid of being financially literate - you embrace learning more about finances. (ok?)

From a retirement plan to having an emergency fund, you know what you need to have to be safe. (yes. true.)

What Katherine means

Friday, August 1, 2008 @ 10:57 PM

i'm suppose to be studying right now. but, what the hell. studying sucks. haha. thanks to khing for this.

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life. (that's true! i'm reflective.)

You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip. (you can trust me)

People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them. (deep in thought?! what?! well. first of all people don't think i'm snobby. i think. haha. )

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. (the first statement's wrong. i'm not best at everything. i strive to be best at it but, sometimes, i'm just the second best. boo.)

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. (i'm confident, not authoritive and aggressive.)

You have the classic "Type A" personality. (what's that?!)

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
(so true! i'm really curious about my future)

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. (again. it's true. i love hanging out with my friends....and i hate my brother. so yah. i love to be away from home.)

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. (gad. this reminds me of jay. haha.)

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out. (of course i'm original. I'm the only Katherine Anne Aguila Calleja in the whole world.)

Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academic. (not true. look at me now. i'm still looking for perfection.)

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person. (yes. i'm strong but, i don't think i'm selfish. am i?)

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. (yey! that''s super right. i love meeting new people.)

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. (yeah. i hate it when two of my friends are fighting)

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. (i'm a procrastinator! haha.)

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. (yes i'm crazy. no i'm not a huge rebel. i'm always up to something but that doesn't mean i disregard my priorities.)

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. (haha. i'm always hyper)

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun. (true! like partying until 2am =)))

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. (true)

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. (true)

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. (true.)

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. (don't agree with that. i know that most people understand the world better than i do.)

You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. (O_o k.)

You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. (sooo true! just like what happened last week. i thought my best friend's mad at me.)

Try it! *CLICK*

Just logic.

@ 2:10 AM
